Restaurant Style Salsa

The Pioneer Woman is one of my favorite cooks out there, along with Paula Deen of course. I've tried quite a few of their recipes, and will be sharing many of them with you this year. First up is this super yummy Restaurant Style Salsa recipe by the Pioneer Woman. My family is quite fond of Mexican style food, and this is one of their favorites. With my family of five, a batch of this never last longer then a day or two. I've adapted it a bit from the original recipe, since we don't like it to spicy. Feel free to add some chopped jalapenos to it if you like yours hot. Either way, it's delicious.

Restaurant Style Salsa
Adapted From: The Pioneer Woman

1 can (28 Ounce) Whole Tomatoes, drained
1/2 can (10 Ounce) Mild Rotel (diced Tomatoes And Green Chilies)
1/3 cup chopped Onion
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp Sugar
3/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp ground Cumin
1/2 cup Cilantro, chopped
1 Lime, juiced

Combine whole tomatoes, Rotel, onion, garlic powder, sugar, salt, cumin, lime juice, and cilantro in a blender or food processor. Pulse until you get the salsa to the consistency you’d like. Test seasonings with a tortilla chip and adjust as needed. Refrigerate salsa for at least an hour. Serve with tortilla chips.
