Salisbury Steak and Gravy
Why buy those frozen salisbury steak dinners that taste nothing like actual beef, when you can make your own from fresh ingredients? My family loves this meal, and it's easy to put together, so I usually make it at least once a month.
Salisbury Steak and Gravy
1 pound ground beef
1/4 tsp onion powder
salt and pepper to taste
*Brown Gravy
Mix ground beef with onion powder, salt and pepper and shape into 3 or 4 patties. Fry in a pan over medium heat until well done. Place patties on plates and pour the desired amount of brown gravy over them. Serve with mashed potatoes and your choice of vegetable.

This is WAY better than the boxed stuff! You know what's in it this way and it tastes better :)
Yes it is Heidi! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I love your site. :)
Now this is my kind of meal!
I have to admit that I'm kind of a "spicy/weird veggie" kind of girl... that being said, I think my family would definitely appreciate some good "down-home comfort food" like this... and I have no doubt that it's miles better than the frozen stuff!
Our family luvs salisbury steak! Yummy!
Jessie~ There is not even any similarity in the taste between the two. I have to laugh at what they try to pass off to us as, "Beef"
Jill~ Thanks for dropping by. :)
